Belanjawan 2002- Belanjawan mesra rakyat
KUALA LUMPUR 19 Okt. - Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad hari ini membentangkan Belanjawan 2002 yang memberi tumpuan mencetuskan pertumbuhan ekonomi domestik tanpa membebankan rakyat supaya mampu menangani cabaran kesan kemelesetan ekonomi dunia.
900,000 dapat bonus, gaji naik 10 peratus
KUALA LUMPUR 19 Okt. - Lebih daripada 900,000 kakitangan awam akan menikmati bonus setengah bulan gaji atau sekurang-kurangnya RM1,000 tahun ini dan kenaikan gaji 10 peratus tahun depan.

KUALA LUMPUR Oct 19 - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad today unveiled the 2002 Budget with measures to give a big boost to domestic spending amidst an ailing world economy caused by the Sept 11 terrorist attacks on the United States.
Half month's bonus, 10 pct salary hike for civil servants
KUALA LUMPUR Oct 19 - More than 900,000 civil servants will enjoy a bonus of a half month's salary or at least RM1,000 this year and a 10 percent pay hike next year.

M'sian economy to grow 4 to 5 pct in 2002
KUALA LUMPUR Oct 19 - The Malaysian economy is expected to be bullish next year and a growth of four to five percent has been projected compared with the slower growth of one to two percent foreecast for this year, said the Treasury's 2001/2002 Economic Report released today. .
Strong economic fundamentals provide policy flexibility
KUALA LUMPUR Oct 19 - Malaysia's strong economic fundamentals continue to provide sufficient policy flexibility to implement growth-supporting measures to stimulate domestic economic activities without jeopardising the sustainability of the nation's potential growth prospects in the medium and long term, says the Treasury's 2001/2001 Economic Report.
